Moneta Heating & Air was founded in 1985 by Curtis Welch. The business has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years. We hired our first employee in 1988 and now have 8 employees to serve you in Bedford County, Smith Mountain Lake, Franklin County, Roanoke, Vinton, Botetourt County, and Salem. Moneta Heating & Air is dedicated to providing higher quality service and affordable pricing to all of our customers. We work hard to ensure you have the HVAC system and products that you need to stay warm during winter and cool for summer. Meet The Team

Curtis Welch, Owner

Curtis founded Moneta Heating and A/C in 1985 after having worked in the heating & air conditioning business for 5 years. He has lived in Stewartsville for his entire life and is an integral part of the community. Curtis is a huge family man surrounding himself with his wife of 35 years, two children, & 4 grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities and camping with his family. You may see him on a service call in your home as he is a hands-on part of the business.

Charles Langford, Lead Installation Technician

Charles has 20 years of experience in the HVAC field and has been with us since the middle of 2014. He holds commercial licenses 1 and 2 and has training as a gas pipe tech. He chose HVAC because he thinks it’s a great job.

Brooke Hicks, Office Manager

Brooke is the office manager and a graduate of Averett University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She began working for Moneta Heating & AIr in August of 2016 and is the second generation working for the company. Brooke is married, has one daughter, and lots of animals! She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family. Most likely, Brookie will be the friendly voice on the other end of the line when you call.

Glenn Mitchell, Installation Technician

Glenn is a heating and ventilation technician. He has been married to his wife Lisa for 21 years. He chose a career in the HVAC industry because he enjoys working on the equipment and challenges of the job. Glenn says the best thing he likes about his job is the people he gets to meet. He loves helping other people!

There are lots of opportunities available in the HVAC business. One thing that can be said that is true, no matter where you live, no one wants to be too hot or too cold. My favorite part of HVAC is being able to help people.
